Mr. Langford was raised in Midland, Texas, and has over twenty nine years experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to starting Luxe Energy LLC, Mr. Langford served in various engineering capacities with Burlington Resources, including reservoir, production and drilling responsibilities. He joined Brigham Exploration Company in 1995 as Manager of Operations, and ultimately Executive Vice President – Operations. When Statoil ASA acquired Brigham in 2011, Mr. Langford assumed the duties of Senior Vice President – Bakken Business Unit.
Mr. Langford is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering.
Mr. Larson’s tenured career began with Exxon as a Production Geologist and Research Scientist. He then joined Mr. Langford at Burlington Resources, in various roles of increasing responsibility. Mr. Larson joined Brigham Exploration Company in 1997, serving as Executive Vice President – Exploration for 14 years. After the merger with Statoil ASA, Mr. Larson was appointed Vice President – Operations.
Mr. Larson is a graduate of St. Cloud State University in Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Earth Science, and a graduate of the University of Montana with a Master of Science in Geology.
Prior to Luxe, Mr. Williams served as the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Business Development of A&D in the Global Energy Investment Banking Group of Citigroup headquartered in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining Citi, Mr. Williams was an A&D Execution Lead with RBC Richardson Barr, a Petroleum Consultant with Cawley, Gillespie & Associates, and a Production Engineer with Chevron Corporation in the South Texas Business Unit and the International Business Unit. Prior to his career in energy, Mr. Williams spent several years in finance with Morgan Stanley. He was also a U.S. Marine Corps Scout Sniper attaining the rank of Sergeant before being honorably discharged.
Mr. Williams graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering and a Bachelor of Art degree in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Mr. Simpson began his career with Credit Suisse First Boston as an oil and gas focused investment banking Analyst in Houston, Texas. He was promoted to Associate in 2008. In 2010, Mr. Simpson joined as a Senior Associate with The Energy & Minerals Group, a management company for a series of specialized private equity funds focused on investing across various facets of the global natural resources industry including the upstream and midstream segments of the energy complex. Mr. Simpson was promoted to Principal in 2011. Mr. Simpson has spent his entire career focused on the oil & gas and finance sectors with a specific expertise in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets financings.
Mr. Simpson is a graduate of the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Minor in Accounting.
Mr. Patranella began his practice in Midland, Texas with Davis, Gerald & Cremer. He then went in-house with Permian focused Concho Resources Inc. Mr. Patranella was hired by Mr. Langford to support the Bakken Business Unit following the merger with Statoil ASA. He continued this role as Principal Counsel with Statoil in addition to supporting all US Assets. Mr. Patranella has focused his entire career on oil and gas, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Mr. Patranella is a graduate of Mays Business School of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Master of Business Administration, and a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence.
Mr. Rankin has been an operational engineer since 1996, supervising drilling, completion, production, and midstream operations. He has the distinction of drilling the first horizontal well for Brigham Exploration Company. He began his career with Mewbourne Oil Company before joining Brigham in 2001. Mr. Rankin served in various capacities with Brigham and Statoil ASA, including Regional Manager of the Williston office for the Bakken Business Unit, and Subsurface Manager for the Eagle Ford Business Unit.
Mr. Rankin holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
Mr. Thibodeau began his career with Brigham Exploration Company as a Reservoir Engineer. After the merger with Statoil ASA, he was promoted to Bakken Reservoir Team Lead, and then Subsurface Manager of the Marcellus Business Unit. Most recently he held the position of Reservoir Engineer Manager of Brigham Minerals LLC.
Mr. Thibodeau is a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering. Mr. Thibodeau is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
